Everything about Pipewell totally explained
Pipewell is situated at the edge of the
Kettering Borough, just a mile away from
Corby.
With just 63 inhabitants, it's one of the smallest
hamlets in
Northamptonshire.
Until the 16th century, Pipewell was the site of Britain's third biggest
abbey and all of the settlements are built around three fields where it used to be, which contains the
Harpers Brook, a tributary of the
river Nene, running right through the center.
In 2004, it was revealed that Pipewell was going to be connected to
Corby by a huge
housing development. Although the village is a part of the
Kettering Borough, it'll be completed by 2050.
It also holds
Northamptonshire's smallest
church,
St. Mary's.
